Volunteers for this position will provide transportation during a scheduled timeframe to clients in or preparing to access Friends of the Family's emergency shelter program.

Basic Transportation Include: 

Bring clients to shelter at time of entryTake clients to their next destination at time of exit Take clients to and from medical appointments, landlord meetings, and other personal appointments

Qualifications: 

Abilityblity to complete require trainings Have a valid driver's license and insurance Have a reliable vehicle Ability to pass basic driving record check Ability to pass criminal history background check

Volunteer: Fostering For Hope Pet Caregiver

Do you love animals and want to provide a safe and healthy environment for them while their owner is unable to due to their housing situation?

Description: 

Responsible for the temporarypoary care of pets in need of emergency housing Provide all pet's needs (feedings, exercise, cleaning)Provide adequate care for pets Provide food, litter, other needs if pet owner or FOF cannot provide them 

Requirements:

Respectpct and understand owner's wishes in regards to caring for pet Agree to a nonphysicalyscial discipline styleDisplay a compassionate nature, flexibility and knowledge of animal behaviorIf foster placement has own pets those pets should be updated on their shots, actively taking flea/ tick preventativesenatives to reduce the risk of transferring illnesses/fleas/ ticks. Must be able to provide documents.

Become an advocate for sexual assault survivors today! Flexible hours for on-call shifts and respond in-person to area hospitals and law enforcement centers, provide support and resources to survivors of sexual assault. Available shifts are 5pm until 8am the next morning Monday-Friday, on Saturdays and Sundays shifts are from 8am until 8am the following day, and occasionally, 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.

30 hour training is required and will be offered by Riverview Center. To see when future trainings are offered, please reach out to the Iowa Volunteer Coordinator by email, raechel@riverviewcenter.org.
